When I disable the Allow submissions to this form without a username and password, I get this error when users open the form, it doesn’t even provide the option for them to enter their accounts.
But it works in the browser where I have the form.
Also, the options in the profile, like Language, Logout, and account settings, ain’t working even after many clicks.
@abratumwe, when you disable the Allow submissions to this form without a username and password
you should be prompted with a login screen something like this:
Maybe try changing your browser to see how it behaves? Please also ensure that your XLSForm has no syntax issues.
When I open the link in the browser where the form is, I don’t get this error; it works fine, and I can enter data. But when I copy the link into another browser or even open it with my phone, I get that error. When I enable the option, the form works fine everywhere.
I was running the account in Edge, and when I opened the link there, it worked fine, but when I opened it in Chrome and on my phone, it brought the error. I logged into the account on Chrome and opened the link, then it worked fine.
So it is as though for it to work on a device or browser, I have to first log in to the account, then open the link.
On the phone, even when I log into that account, it doesn’t bring the option for logging in, but just queues them with the error not allowed to post data on this form as in this image.
All those to use the form must be added to the form under settings> Sharing and with the Add submissions options enabled, they should log in first to their accounts before making the submissions otherwise they will get that error. After logging in and you have granted them permission to Add submissions, now they can start making entries.
This is how I have resolved this.
