What are you trying to achieve or report?

I’m looking for advice on how to organize, manage, and back up media files collected or referenced in KoboToolbox projects, especially when working with a large number of images and other media files.

What’s happening instead?

I’m interested in how other KoboToolbox users organize images and other media files after collecting them through a project.

For projects that involve a lot of visual material, it seems useful to have a clear workflow for keeping the original files, organizing them by project or date, and maintaining backups outside the KoboToolbox project.

I’m also interested in workflows where researchers or content teams collect media from different platforms for documentation or reference.

How do you currently organize and back up media collected or referenced during your KoboToolbox projects?

Did you search the forum for existing solutions before posting?

Yes, I searched and couldn’t find a solution

To download all your media files please refer to this documentation article that explains how to download media files in multiple methods.

Finally if your project has many media files there are two alternative options: either download the media files using the DownThemAll extension, or use the Kobo media download script available on GitHub.
