For sure, sorry by my poor english. I don't know what kind of information do you need, basically I created the formulary at the online plattaform, and completed a few questionaeies for testing, then I downloaded the kobosync altered the directories, but when I gave the order to aggregate the files, nothing happened, (I read the toturial and I know it's a very fast operation) but just a folder was created with nothing inside.

Ber,
I wonder if your device is mounted to your computer?

You need to attach a USB cable to your phone, and then mount it as an external drive, like plugging in a USB stick.

I copied the files to my laptop before trying to sync

Do you get an error when you run KoBoSync? Does it run and then the counter shows 0?

Did you design your form in KoBoForm, there are a few fields, like DeviceID, that must be there for KoBoSync to work.

No for the first question, yes for the second.

I gonna try fill the field you mentioned, can you talk more about it?

Soon I report th e result.

I tried to fill the field you mentioned, but the problem remains.

Used the ID i get from my device :HXFY-GJKJ-5VHC-3

In the XML file, the deviceid is :BC:85:1F:F0:C6:1E

Ah, the old device ID with punctuation in it. I don’t know where these are coming from, a device ID should not have colons, but you are the second person this week with this issue.

KoBoSync chokes on the colons.

Here is what you need to do:

Creating an arbitrary ID to replace the weird one. To easily replace the device id in every instance, just do as you are doing to get the instances into a folder on your computer.

Then, let’s say that the weird device id with colons is 123:49423:34234

Use a program like Notepad++ that let’s you find and replace in all the files in a folder without opening them. (Notepad++ is magic)

Choose Find, Find in Files

Find What: 123:49423:34234

Replace with: 1234942334234

Directory: C:\yourFolder

That will get rid of the strange ID without any trouble and then you can make your CSV.
