Error when using Matrix/Grid

Hi there,

has anyone encountered the following Error note: “There are two survey elements named ‘_’ in the section named ‘__019’” and can offer support or help?

Thanks,

Marius

Hi Marius,
This sounds like a bug with the auto naming of variable names. Could you send us the form so we can check how this happened? I’m assuming you’re writing the form in Arabic or another non-Latin script which requires manually naming the variables currently. So the best solution to the current issue is to make sure you name each question/variable with a specific name (e.g. ‘gender’, ‘under_5_mortality’, etc.).

Best,

Tino

Hi Tino,

thanks for getting back to me and offering support. You have guessed correctly the survey is in a non-latin script - its in Dari. I will prepare the grids separately as you suggested and give it a try. In case it will not work I would very much appreciate if you took a look. Do you know whether there is an option to have a grid that allows for multiple answers (as “select many”)? Or are they currently working on it?

Thanks!

Hi Marius,
Matrix/Grid is only for Single Select questions right now but it’s a good point - having multiple responses would be an easy variation. We could add it to the settings of the question group to switch between single/multi select. I’ll add it to our list.
