Getting List of Projects (from the API) that were created via the web interace

If I create a project via the web interface, I do not see the project when I request information from the projects endpoint (https://kc.kobotoolbox.org/api/v1/projects) and if I create a project through the API I do not see this in the web interface. Is there no coherence between the API and the web interface?
