Grey text fields appear under my note-type questions (apparently depending on the order in which I place my self-contained groups in the form)

Hello, I have a form with two not-related main groups (let’s call them A and B). In each of the group, there is a repeat_group.

When I upload to KoBo, all my note-type questions in the repeat_group of group A appear with a non-editable grey text field below. The issue does not affect the note-type questions outside of the repeat group in group A. The notes of group B, inside and outside the repeat group, work fine.

If I delete group B from the form, the notes in group A work fine.

If I swap the position of group A and B (so first B, then A), the notes of group B do not work while those of group A work fine.

If I delete group A from the form, the notes of group B work fine.

I just cannot find a reason for this behavior.

Attached the forms described in the 4 scenarios presented above.

Edit: I am now realizing that this issue affects the note type questions within many other repeat groups in my XLS Form

First findings: It has to do with the rather complex structuring of your form, esp. dependencies of the non-horticultural group and repeat to the first one, The UI seems to get mixed up.
For ex. if you remove the repeat_count for the second repeat or - as you noticed too - the whole second overall group, the error seems to disappear.

For locating the problem, It would help , if you strip down your form to a minimum, still showing the error. (And then strip further down, by removing filtering and grouping elements.)

Here a very simple minimum - no more showing any problems. Only one warning from the Online validator

Hint: Do incremental development and tests, esp. for complex forms. Also try to have no errors and warnings from the Online validator.
