KoboToolbox to produce Systematic Reviews

OSSYRIS_SwissTPH_UNIBAS_5% - Open Source SYstematic Reviews Integrated Systems

Description of OSSYRIS: data extraction in Systematic Reviews (SR) requires robust forms to ensure data consistency, accuracy and completeness; forms for screening as well, although they are less demanding. Furthermore, screening and data extraction have to be integrated with tools for references management (e.g. Zotero) and for data cleaning and reporting (e.g. R).

We have created OSSYRIS, unfolding KoboToolbox functionalities, including APIs.

Context: although originally designed for SR in the health sector, the system can be used for any type of SR in any sector.

@xbc, thank you for sharing this resource. Could you also list some use case along with some examples? That should help our community users to use your tool if and when needed. :folded_hands:

Thanks for your request. The article referenced in my previous post contains the full description. Here some hints.

OSSYRIS can be used by teams carrying out systematic literature reviews or overviews of the literature. It integrates all stages from the implementation of the search strategy till reporting. Data extraction is especially tricky and requires a high level of quality, consistency and completeness, Research teams may want some adaptations of the form, but these are mainly needed in the ‘choices’ sheet and hardly ever in the ‘survey’ sheet, keeping the overall functionality of the tool.

Examples can be found in the article, also attached here.
