Looking for someone to assist me with finalising my form. I have experienced challenges making sure that my form does not mix responses on one of the questions. It is only on one question. The question is a YES or NO question. If the selection is a Yes, there are further questions based on whether it is a YES or NO. What the form is doing is that it is mixing the YES responses with the NO responses.
Can you please post a screenshot of the Formbuilder question(s), with each of their settings expanded. Or perhaps better yet, export your form as XLS and post it here to review.
I’ve run into something similar with conditional questions. I’d check the relevance settings on the questions that come after the Yes/No question first. Each follow-up question should only be relevant when the corresponding answer is selected.
For example, if the first question is Yes/No, a question that should only appear after Yes would need a relevance condition based on that Yes answer, while the questions for No should have their own condition.
Since there are no error messages, I’d also check the question names and the exact values being used in the conditions. If those look correct, exporting the form as XLS and checking the relevant/relevance column would probably make it easier to spot where the logic is going wrong.
Please find attached my form that needs a few twicks/changes to address some challenges that I am currently facing:
On the first question. Do you agree to participate? The form is NOT closing when I select NO. Currently, if I select NO the form still continues to open allowing me to enter responses and yet it should stop there if a NO is selected.
I am also struggling with the skip logic. I have a few questions that I am failing to insert the skip logic.
(a) Question 2.6 - If NO is elected, then skip to 2:13.
(b) Question 5:10 If NO is selected , then skip to 5:13
(c) Question 5:13 If NO is selected skip to 5:14
The last challenge that I am having is that the YES and NO option are appearing even if a NO is selected.
Question 4:10 Have you obtained agricultural credit during the last 24 months? YES NO
If YES indicate Amount borrowed monthly repayment repayment period
If NO Give reasons for not applying.
The current challenge is that when I select a NO, the YES options still appear.
NB: Please assist so that if a NO is selected, then the YES options will not appear.
Thank you so much colleagues. I am still learning to use Kobo and doing free courses on the site.
