Lost submissions

Hello,

One of our field associates reported that he completed 8 forms while working on the link (using online-offline submission mode) via his laptop/browser. He saved the forms as drafts to review later. After returning from the field and reconnecting to the internet, the drafts were still present, but they suddenly disappeared. They are neither found in his records/drafts tab nor uploaded to our main account.

I have conducted an extensive search to ensure they weren’t mistakenly uploaded on another date, but with no success.

I understand this might be a long shot, but could you advise if there is any way to track what happened to those submissions?

@archibald, the data can go missing for draft forms if the cache of the browser is cleared. However, if the submissions were finalized, you would not be able to edit it and the submission would automatically be submitted to the server if your device was connected to the network. But since you say the submissions were saved as drafts, they could go missing only if the cache of the browser was cleared.

Is there anyway to retrieve them in the case of clearing the browser cache?

@archibald, sorry there is no way to retrieve such deleted cases from the browser’s cache.
