Missing Submitted Kobo Data – Showing 0 Submissions

Hello Kobo Community,

I am experiencing an issue with my KoboToolbox project. I have submitted data, but when I check my project, it shows “0 submissions” in the data tab. I need help understanding the possible causes and how to recover my missing data.

Details:

  • The form was deployed and used for data collection.
  • Submissions were made via kobo link.
  • The project still appears under my account, but the data tab shows 0 submissions.
  • I have refreshed the page, logged out and back in, but the issue persists.
  • I checked KoboCollect (if applicable), and the forms were finalized and sent.
  • I am using KoboToolbox server

Steps I Have Tried:

  • Refreshed the data tab multiple times.
  • Verified the correct server and account.
  • Ensured submissions were sent from the device.

Questions:

  1. What could be causing my submitted data to disappear?
  2. Is there a way to recover the lost data?
  3. Are there any known server issues or troubleshooting steps I might have missed?

Welcome to the community, @genii! Could you also share a screenshot of your app’s Settings>Server so that we could understand more about your project. Please also share with us another screenshot from your app from under the Sent folder of your app. This should give us a proof that the project has been submitted to the server.
