ODK Briefcase: Active Fork Announcement

Hello Friends,

I am maintaining a fork of ODK Briefcase now that GitHub - getodk/briefcase: ODK Briefcase is a Java application for fetching and pushing forms and their contents. It helps make billions of data points from ODK portable. Contribute and make the world a better place! ✨💼✨ · GitHub is archived.

Release: Release ODK Briefcase v2.0.0 · GeekLord/odk-briefcase · GitHub
Changelog: odk-briefcase/CHANGELOG.md at v2.0.0 · GeekLord/odk-briefcase · GitHub

v2.0.0 is a toolchain update so the project builds and runs again. It requires Java 17 or newer (v1.18.0 ran on Java 8). Gradle is 9.7.1, and dependencies are current (JavaRosa 6, Bouncy Castle 1.86, and the other libraries listed in the changelog). Pull, push, export, and the command-line interface behave as before.

java -jar ODK-Briefcase-v2.0.0.jar

This fork is not an ODK core-team project. ODK still recommends ODK Central where it covers your workflow. I am maintaining this for people who still need the Briefcase desktop app, and issues and pull requests are welcome on the repository above.
