Hi all,
Just a quick question re. exporting GPS from a project (under humanitarian.info).
Every time I try to download GPS points for our projects the table reads ‘Pending’ but doesn’t go anywhere.
Have left it for 30+ minutes, but nothing is happening.
Is this because the tables behind all the data are so large (our survey is quite long) and it will take a long time to organize all the data for download, or is it just not working properly?
Any information you can provide is (as always) greatly appreciated.

Hi Matt,
I just tested the KML export function and it worked fine. It should never take more than a few seconds to generate the file for download, though an extremely large dataset (in terms of number of submissions) will take slightly longer. We’ll check if there’s any particular issue with your data or your account.

I always figure that any issues that arise are from ‘user error’ rather than with any of the programming!

Hi Matt,
Just to let you know that the issue you experienced this morning has been resolved. KML exports from large surveys were sometimes not possible because of the memory they required. We are fixing this issue by improving how KML files are generated, possibly by no longer including all single responses in the individual point markers.
