@shelter_nrc, this is due to a syntax issue within your xlsform. Try validating them with this online validator. The online validator should help you identify syntax issues present within your xlsform.

Being more specific with your issue, you have tried to reference an expression using the variable name total 0 which itself is not present in your survey tab. Maybe you will need to search for the total 0 in your survey tab to find it out for yourself.
