API call for labelled submission with subset query

I can retrieve a subset of submissions with:
https://kf.kobotoolbox.org/api/v2/assets/<id>/data/?query={"pat_gruppe/pat_name":"Luk"}&format=json

But this gives fields out-of-submission order, and without labels.

I also can download all submissions of a form as a csv file, with nice labels and in-order, but I have not been able to restrict the download by a query, which leads to huge downloads when I want to create a per-submission report that looks similar to the input forms.

API to GET Kobo submissions using 'label' rather than value

I am using the API to return submitted forms from Kobo from: https://kf.kobotoolbox.org/assets/xxx/submissions/ My question is how do I return the actual text form response (called ‘label’ in the API) rather that the ‘Value’ in the Kobo form (called ‘name’ in the API) These ‘Values’ are numbers and I cannot interpret them. I see there are some lookup values (list_name, $kuid) but I’m hoping there is an easy way to just retrieve the text rather than having to write code to loop through all the …
