You got that correct. Yes, if you collect your data through Enketo aka web-form you should see something like that.

I used 2 different browsers (from a same PC) to collect data and they can be recorded distinctly. The deviceid that records ee.kobotoolbox.org:GBPzITBVheNpYVsv was collected through Chrome while the deviceid recorded through ee.kobotoolbox.org:TKpAwx0qRGf8auV2 was collected through Edge. So when there is a new device with a new browser the deviceid provides a unique id so that they can be documented systematically.
