Error when uploading a xlsx form

Description

When I try to upload a new xlsx version for my project an error message appears and I can’t upload the form. When I refreshed the server the project has gone and I lost every submition for it.

Steps to Reproduce

1. …Enter your kobo account
2. …Select a project
3. …Upload a new version of the form

Expected behavior

The form will be uploaded and ready to be deployed

Actual behavior

An error message shows up and the project desapeared. I’ve lost every submition sent to it.

How to get back a lost project

@wroos, maybe it would be safe to temporarily halt your data collection. Will get back to you once the issue is resolved.

Error caused deletion of some projects; recovery complete

Update We have recovered what we believe is all data affected by this error, i.e. projects that were lost after 07:00 UTC on 22 January. More specifically, our logs show the first effects of this problem on HHI at 07:28 and on OCHA at 07:32. Edit: I’ve decommissioned the temporary email address as we’ve had no reports that we missed anything in the restoration completed over a month ago. You may still respond here if you believe you’re affected, although full recovery may not be possible after…
