@yendor, we request you to avoid making multiple posts for the same issues on different topics.

Regarding your issue, you could do this as outlined in the image shared below:

In the survey tab of your XLSForm:

In the choices tab of your XLSForm:

Data entry screen as seen in Enketo:

thanks so much, sorry for the multiple posts, i was desperate for solution

thankyou sir, it worked fine

but how do i do same (select multiple) for repeated groups such that if you select options in first repeat, those options should be excluded in the second repeat including all other repeats
e.g with the options
Wheat-based Chhatua
Dry ration for halwa
Groundnut ladoo/chikki
Raasi ladoo/chikki
if i select “Wheat-based Chhatua”, it should not show in next repeated group
if i select “Wheat-based Chhatua” and “Dry ration for halwa”, the two should not show in all next repeats

@yendor, FYR:

please sir I rather wanted select multiple not select one, such that all options selected in question 1 should HIDE in subsequent questions in the repeated group. when i change the select one to select multiple in the attachment you sent it does not, it only works for select one

@yendor, maybe you could try this sample workout then:
