I will be administering a follow up survey every six months to each recipient in my study. We have had problems with inconsistent answers and no way to track until data analysis. For example, we ask respondent how many children they have. At time 1 it may be 4 children, at time 2 (6 months later) it may be 2 children, and at time 3 perhaps 8 children. We are not sure if this is a data collection issue or perhaps the parent has taken in a family member’s child. Is it possible to link pervious responses to current responses in real time?
