I am an academician teaching economics courses at Ethiopian Higher Education Institutions. I have over 12 years of experience as a practitioner, educator, researcher, leader, thesis advisor, and consultant. I have served as head of the Department of Economics, Jigjiga University (Ethiopia) for more than four years. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Economic Policy Analysis at the School of Policy Studies, at Ethiopian Civil Service University. I got a BA degree in economics from Mekelle University in 2009 and an MSc degree in Economic Policy Analysis from Jimma University in 2013. I have taken several job training like Impact Evaluation using STATA, Productivity, and Efficiency Analysis using STATA, Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium using MATHLAB, and mobile-based data collection applications like CSPro and Kobo Toolbox. Moreover, I have provided short-term training on SPSS and STATA to employees of different government organizations. I have good experience in evaluating both mid-line and terminal project evaluations using standard OECD/DAC project evaluation criteria. My research interests include environmental sustainability, energy, environmental valuation, project impact evaluation, the nexus among environment, energy consumption and economic growth. I have published 8 peer-reviewed papers in reputable journals on issues including the EKC hypothesis, environmental sustainability, asymmetric price transmission, financial inclusion gender gap, and SME innovation. I have also completed several consultancy works successfully.
