SODE Idelphonse is passionate about data science with 8+ years of professional experiences in the application of real-world insights. He has a strong interest in the utilization of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to solve various issues in life sciences. He specialised in biostatistics to model and visualize data and deliver more efficient data management solutions to support decision-making in humanitarian, development and research contexts. He has also proven experiences in spatial analysis, climate change impacts modelling, GIS, remote sensing, machine learning, epidemiology, operational research and projects monitoring and evaluation.
His enriching experiences have equiped him with hands-on skills in digital mapping, data analytics, data management, geospatial modelling and statistical programming. He has a very good command of data science tools including R, STATA, ODK, Kobo, REDCap, CommCare, SQL, Maxent, ArcGIS, QGIS, PowerBI, Advanced Excel, as well as programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++ and FORTRAN. Detailed-oriented and with a strong organizational skills, he is capable to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural team and adapt to new environment.
He is currently working as ICT4D Specialist to develop and deploy digital data collection and visualization solutions that better match clients’ needs for delivering humanitarian services and supporting decision-making in sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.
