The Kobotoolbox website says that Kobocollect should be compatible with all devices.
I’ve tried to download Kobocollect from google play store on Microsoft tablets for a work project, however playstore says “this app is not compatible with your device”.
Any insights anyone?

Welcome to the community, @Loz_tepunavaimarama! Kindly please be informed that the KoboCollect Android App is an Android app meaning it is only compatible with the Android OS. If you have a device other than the Android OS (such as IOS or Microsoft), the app is not compatible. Hence for this, you will need to use the web form to collect data.
