Hello,
as explained here http://xlsform.org/en/ref-table/, no-calendar should change the date (and date-time) widget to older spinner-only display on newer 4.x devices
But we don’t see any difference, e.g. with Android 5.0
Isn’t it that Collect android app should behave in the way you have shared in the screenshot. Try capturing the difference by removing the no-calendar from the appearance and there you should see the entire calendar to select a date.
Hello @Kal_Lam,
I am sorry, if not explained clearly.
Either with or without no-calendar, the widget is the SAME (screenshot). On Android 5.0 (Samsung).
Kind regards
Thank you for making the issue more clear. You got that correct! I checked on an android device with android 5 (and KoBoCollect v1.25.1) and it had no affect (as you stated). However when i checked the same on android 9 (and KoBoCollect v1.25.1) it displayed the way it should.
Thus it should be a case of android compatibility.
Sorry did not get you correctly! Were you able to see the difference (as i saw with my device) or did you not see the difference (like the one you saw in android 5)?
But on Android 9.x no-calendar appearance creates a difference, will then show the form as on Android 5.0 (see screenshot above).
The default widget for 9.0 is
Correct me if i got you right; the first screenshot you shared is from android 5 (appearance=no-calendar) and the second screenshot is from android 9 (appearance=no-calendar)?
Hello,
yes in dead. And the first screenshot is the same for either ANY appearance on Android 5…
But http://xlsform.org/en/ref-table/, SAYS no-calendar should change the date (and date-time) widget to older spinner-only display on newer 4.x devices… But for 5.x this is not true.
Sorry, for insufficient explanations.
Kind regards
What I have noticed with this is that the scroll function on no-calender does not feature when you share the survey via a link. It probably shows on the Kobocollect app but not via sending the survey liva link? Thoughts?
