Barcode and Text at the same time

Guys in help how can i make Backcode file to be a text at the same time eg. if i scan the number and fails i will be able to type.

@Emma1 ,do you mean you what interface where barcode question/text question? exist together,so that you could use text question to pull data or barcode question to pull data side by side?

Yes, what i mean is when the tablets fail to scan the enumerator will have to opt-in to typing
