Can't create user on kobo toolbox hosted on own server

After kobo is installed on own server, can’t sign up to create account. Server error (500) is shown.

The issue arises due to an improperly configured SMTP server during the KoboToolbox installation. To address this bottleneck, you can try the following steps:

  1. Log in to https://kf.yourdomain.com using your super_admin account.
  2. In a new browser tab, navigate to Free classifieds - yourdomain.com. (addin /admin at the end)
  3. In the Django Administration panel, go to Accounts > Email Address, where you’ll find the sign-up email address listed.
  4. Click on the email address, check the Verified box, and save the changes.
  5. You can now log in using the sign-up account and start using the platform.
