It would be useful to have a comment box which appears when updating validation status to “not approved” or “on hold” so that team members can understand what needs to be changed or added to the submission.
As workaround so far, you might add an optional text field at the end of your form, which could be skipped dending on staff ID. So it will be available on server side for QA staff.
