I am experiencing what seems to be the same issue reported in these topics:
- Report of multiple technical failures with image loading and display
- No cargan las imagenes en el enketo
In my case, images collected are no longer being displayed in the Enketo/submission view. Instead of the image preview, only the image filename is shown, for example:

I performed several checks:
- The submissions were successfully sent from KoboCollect.
- The image files are still stored on the KoboToolbox server.
- Clicking the download icon downloads the correct image normally.
- All images are displayed correctly in the Gallery view.
- The image requests in the browser Network tab return HTTP 200 or 304, with no 403/404/500 errors.
- I tested using an incognito window and the issue remained.
- The problem is also affecting older submissions where the images were previously displayed correctly.
- Multiple submissions appear to be affected.
- We are using the official KoboToolbox servers, not a self-hosted installation.
The browser console only shows messages such as:
InstanceID and deprecatedID population disabled.
Preloaders disabled.
Calculations disabled.
There are no apparent image-loading errors.
Since the same images can be downloaded and are displayed normally in the Gallery, it seems that the media files themselves are intact and that the problem may be specifically related to the Enketo/submission view image rendering.
Could the KoboToolbox team please confirm whether this is a known issue or a recent regression?
