Hi Alpha,
You can export the SPSS syntax with KoBoForm. Just import your XML form first and then click on SPSS File in the menu. It will show you the syntax that you can run in SPSS directly to create the labels after importing the raw dataset. You can find instructions on http://www.kobotoolbox.org/updates/2012/09/exporting-labels-values-spss.

Could you let us know which step in particular didn’t work for you? We’re using the SPSS labeling function a lot, so we can certainly help you troubleshoot.
I think the video is pretty detailed, but if there is any step in between where you struggled we can send you more detailed instructions if needed.

Thanks for your concern. Like I said, I followed the video through and
through. What I notice is that when I save the SPSS syntax the first
few lines are missing. I repeated the save/copy and paste process in
KoBoForm many a time.
I have attached the xml file of my form so that you can try it from your side.
