Data URL for all version

Hi there,

I know that I can access my data from a unique URL (using to import into PowerBI). I found this using the the first half of this article (https://support.kobotoolbox.org/pulling_data_into_excelquery.html).

However, when I pull that .xls or .xlsx from the URL, it only has entries from the current version of the form and not any previous versions. I know that I can export a .xls or .xlsx from Kobo with all entries from all versions (https://support.kobotoolbox.org/recovering_previous_formdata.html), but is there a way to do that with a direct URL that has all entries/versions?

Hi,
As long as the data was collected within the same project, you get all the data. Previous versions of the same project will be pulled however they will only be mapped to the current form structure i.e. if your form had some questions deleted, these questions will not be pulled when you pull using API. Kindly if these answers your query.

Thanks for assisting. What you’re saying however, doesn’t seem to be the case. When I use https://kc.humanitarianresponse.info/api/v1/data/577581.xlsx to acess the data, the first 7 entries (under a previous version) all show up as “null.” even for questions that didn’t change version to version… Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

They should be appearing. Are those 7 the only ones collected with the previous version? This seems odd. What changes had been made on version.
