Date validation-no future dates

I would like to set the criteria of date validation to be not greater than today using the GUI, how do i do that?

You could do the same as outlined in the image below: In the survey tab of your xlsform: [Image 0.01] Reference xlsform: Date Inputs (Past, Current, Future).xlsx (16.9 KB) Please note: This best works with Collect apps (KoBoCollect android app or ODK Collect android app). I tried to use this to make it so that no future dates were allowed in my survey but when I tried to use the XLS form, it changed the format when I reuploaded it to my survey. Is there a way to do this function without creating an XLS form through validation?
