Default response in matrix

Hello everybody,

I’m trying to add default responses to a matrix via xls form but it doesn’t seem to work.
If have simply added a column named “default” and added the prefered answered as written in is choices tab.

You could use the default in a matrix question as outlined in the image below:

In the survey tab of your xlsform:

Hi! I uploaded my xlsform in Kobo and downloaded it back to my computer so I could get the xlsform with one line per choice in the matrix as in you example. I was then able to create the default responses and it worked :slight_smile:

here it is, sorry it’s in French.
