Dear Kobo Toolbox Community,
I have several questions that are almost identical in structure, but the answer options differ slightly. For each question, the respondent is asked to select one option as the most important and one as the least important from a list of six options.
How can I design and build these types of questions using the Kobo Toolbox Form Builder? I would appreciate any guidance or recommendations.
@aminabualsoud, so you mean you just want to add the option choices to these questions as you do on the XLSForm? For e.g. the options for most_important could be as follows:
1 Option 1
2 Option 2
3 Option 3
4 Option 4
5 Option 5
and so on …
@Kal_Lam, thank you for your prompt response. No, the issue is not with the options themselves, as they are part of the question and can be easily added. My concern is how to create this form in Kobo Toolbox, where the respondent can select both the most important and the least important options for each question. I am not worried about the options, just how to structure the form effectively to capture these responses.
@Kal_Lam,
Dear Mr. Kal Lam,
Thank you very much for your response. To clarify, the five options remain the same in the first question but vary slightly in the second, third, and subsequent questions. The respondent is required to select one option from the list as the most important and another as the least important from the same list of options.
Ideally, I would prefer that the options are placed between the most important and least important selections to make the layout clearer. Could you please advise on which type of question format would best serve this objective?
Thank you for directing me to this post. It addresses some aspects of my question, but I still have a few areas needing further clarification. Could you please provide additional details regarding my inquiry from today? Thank you for your assistance!
