Do respondents need to open an account with Kobo to be able to fill out surveys?

I have activated the ‘Anyone can see the form’, but when I send out the link to it (through WhatsApp), people seemingly can’t fill it out (or I am not getting their responses when they fill out and click on ‘Validate form’ upon finishing
