When I export a select many type question, data in XLS is displayed as ‘zero’ or ‘1’ even after selecting the single and separate option. The variables in XLS are not matching those in SPSS.
Which option must I use so that the actual codes are displayed.

Kindly please be informed that the select_multiple question, in general, can be managed in two different approaches viz. the multiple dichotomy and multiple category. KoboToolbox handles the same with the multiple dichotomy approach meaning that the options are displayed in 1s and 0s. You will need to restructure the same variable in SPSS to get the question into multiple category.
