Colleagues I am getting a numeric keyboard for response but the has a text (abc) data type.

How can I resolve this

Welcome to the community, @takudzwajera! This is an issue related to your device settings (which could differ from brand to brand). You may need to contact your nearest mobile store to learn how to change the settings. However, I will keep this post open for our users to see if they have a workaround to fix this.

Can you share the related part of your form, please? Make sure that there is not appearance = number set for this text type question.

Exactly what you spoke about. The setting appearance=number was there. So I removed it and its now working fine. Thanks so much
