Hi support team, I want to ask about GPS coordinate points, does a user need a stable network signal when they want to take coordinate points?
Thank you

@fahmi_admin, you do not need a network connection when collecting geopoint data. However, you will need a good device that can connect to satellites to read the GPS location. The better the device is the more accurate you will be able to collect the GPS location. However, you could also slightly leverage the collection of GPS location data to your device through this Android app:
As @Kal_Lam states, having a Wi-Fi or mobile connection isn’t strictly required to obtain a GPS fix. But having one or both can improve accuracy and/or acquisition time because most devices use these additional sources of data to improve or speed up GPS accuracy; eg identifying the closest cell tower(s) is immediately provides an approx location, since these towers are all now pretty well mapped and precisely located (you can even do a level triangulation knowing the approx distance from multiple towers based on signal strength…)
If you are having trouble getting a fast or accurate fix, you might want to consider adding a start-geopoint question to your form. This will warm up the GPS and start trying to acquire a fix immediately when you start your form, so hopefully by the time you reach your actual geopoint/geotrace/geoshape question, your phone has already got a reasonable idea of its location.
