How to block validation of survey according to respondents' answers?

Hello,

In the first question of my survey, respondents should choose the department under which they are working, which means that could be either Operations/Programs of Support as indicated in this image:

The possible answers should be either:

  1. Yes and 2. No
    or
  2. No and 2. Yes

Currently, if someone chooses YES and YES or No and NO the survey can be sent, even though it is incomplete.
How is it possible to put a condition that if the answers are YES+YES or No+NO, the survey stops and an error message like “Please only select one department” appears?

Thank you

Welcome to the community, @m_gamha20! You could do this as outlined in the post discussed previously:

Hello @Kal_Lam,

and thank you for your response.

I have recently discovered Kobo toolbox and it is definitely great, much better than other surveys tools I’ve been working on before.

Btw, where in the setting menu of a question is it possible to the condition? Is it should be validation criteria area, isn’t it?

@m_gamha20, you should be able to learn more about validation through our support article Limiting Responses with Validation Criteria.
