I tried to validate my xls form on the online validator before trying to upload to kobo and its saying "Value error unknown type ‘select’, may you help please or help how i can share my xls form to the community. thanks
You need to download the form as xls from the system. then upload it here using the upload icon in the below picture.

The error text mark the problems:
- Row 6 and many others has a wrong list_name (not in choices sheet). y_n, but yesno is the list_name.
- The rest is because your name of the label column is wrong, must be in small letters “label” (as all XLSForm columns and key words!). Also, in the survey sheet you have similar errors.
- There are further errors in select_one type syntax.
