Improving map display in KoBo

What is the general goal of the feature?
Better map visualization in KoBo platform itself, still making it simple.

What are the most likely user stories for how and when this would be used by someone on your team?
During capacity building when demonstrating the advantages of using KoBo. Especially for low tech capacity users, having an intuitive map display of points data collected for better map story telling.

Can you sketch out graphically how you think this should look/work in practice?

  • Points symbology: be able to choose other symbols: Yes, No questions: Yes (green), No (red).
  • KML Layers Upload: really love this new feature. And would be good to be able to customize the symbology (layer color, transparency). Also, would be great to be able to disaggregate per geographic admin level on the map - e.g. when admin layer kml is uploaded.

How useful would this feature be to other users or organizations?
Very useful. Same way as how our team will use the feature.

What can you contribute to making this feature a reality?
Not sure  I don’t think I have enough developing skills to help.
