I have checked the pricing for the different servers. In the community server, they indicate that file storage is up to 1 year. What does this mean.

The one-year limit on file storage specifically applies only to the free Community Plan. Under this plan, any media attachments you upload—such as videos, audio recordings, or photos—are stored in your account for up to one year. After that period, these files will be removed.
Media storage is a significant cost for us, especially given the large number of KoboToolbox users who utilize our tools for free. The costs compound not just because of the sheer number of users but also because many users tend to keep their media files stored for years, often long after they have stopped using the project for which the media was collected.
