Hi!
Now I`m creating a questionnaire for phone interviews (when you open the questionnaire, call the person, ask questions and write them down immediately)
When I try to call someone , background-audio stop recording anything (recording continues, but no sound is recorded, only silence).
Is it possible in KoboCollect to make a record using background-audio during phone call from the same device?

Welcome to the community, @anastasiia_fedenkiv! So your requirement is to make a background audio recording during a call (interview)? Let me ping @Xiphware to see if the Collect Android App
has a roadmap for this feature.
What is the resolve on this?
I need to know the possibility of background audio during a telephonic interview, using the same device.
Also, the possibility of background audio for a section of the survey.
the possibility of background audio for a section of the survey
Have a look at this: Question Types - ODK Docs
However, I dont believe you can turn it on and off only for the duration of a specific section of your form; it’s either record audio for a single question, or the entire form.
I’m encountering a similar issue with our feedback collection process. We use a questionnaire to gather insights from clients who purchase our Weight Lifting Belt to help our marketing team pinpoint mistakes and pain points, but we’re running into a challenge with background-audio recording. When trying to conduct phone interviews with KoboCollect, the background-audio recording stops and only captures silence, even though recording continues. I’ve reviewed the ODK Docs, but it seems that you can’t turn the audio recording on and off only for specific sections of your form. It appears you can only record audio for either a single question or the entire form. Is there any workaround or setting adjustment that can address this issue
Correct. As noted in the docs:
Recording starts at the
form start
andform resume
events and stops at theform exit
event."
There is no present workaround; indeed, changing this behavior - eg to turn it on/off for form sections - would probably involve some non-trivial changes to the Kobo/Collect app.
