Is it possible to throttle or use a quota system to limit the answers to 5000 per month, or 165 per day, and then post a message to save the data locally for later upload?

If not, it may be a useful feature to add - either on the server side or client side or both.

Welcome back to the community, @zvig! Sorry, this is not possible within the system at the moment. But please contact us if you wish to sponsor this feature.

A small workaround might be to manually archive and reactivate the project temporarily or to de-/activate the send submission right of the users.

That’s an ingenious, workable solution!

Now here is another idea worth considering, if someone is willing to sponsor it - a customizable message to users when the project is unavailable, e.g. archived or not receiving connections/entries. Although you may also have one.
