Line breaks in long text answers

Hi,
We would like to collect qualitative data with open-ended questions. However, when a respondent writes a text answer there are no line breaks… If the text answer is long, a respondent cannot see everything s/he has written in one glance.
Is there any workaround or settings that could be changed when we create the form?

Thanks Kal! The appearance attribute under question settings indeed solved the issue.
