Qualitative analysis helps you turn open-ended audio responses into actionable insights. This is especially valuable in research and emergency response settings, where important context can be missed in quantitative data alone.
Our new AI-powered analysis feature enables you to automatically analyze your audio data directly in KoboToolbox for fast, accurate insights.
- Create analysis questions to summarize, categorize, or describe audio responses.
- Click Generate with AI to automatically answer analysis questions.
- Review AI-generated responses and mark them as verified to confirm output accuracy.
- Each analysis field is added as a separate column in your data table, along with its verification status.
- In data exports, an additional column indicates whether the analysis was manual or AI-generated.
The feature is now available to all KoboToolbox users, with higher usage quotas available on our paid plans or by purchasing an add-on.
