Every time I am developing a questionnaire, I am faced with one challenge.
For example, if I ask a respondent to mention the brands that s/he has ever used (multiple response), and there is a follow up question on which brands the person is currently using. Is there a way through which only those brands mentioned in the first question (ever used) appear in the second question (currently using)?

Can you tell, which type of question you want to use as second question? Multiple response, single response or text?
The second question should be multiple response again. I want to avoid a scenario whereby an enumerator can, by mistake, select an option that was not selected in the first question. For example, if a person has never used Brand B in question 1, that brand should not appear in question 2.
