We continuously collect field data using the Kobo Toolbox, storing it within the Kobo system. This data is connected directly to an online Power BI dashboard through a JSON API, which worked smoothly from two years ago until June 2024. Since then, however, new data submitted to Kobo has not been updated/fetched in Power BI. I attempted to re-establish the connection, but this did not resolve the issue.
It is worth mentioning this issue is only with one form with 34000 + entries, the other form we have with small entries works well.
As an alternative, I downloaded the data from Kobo to my device and connected it to Power BI offline. To automate this process, I wrote a Python script to download data from Kobo every 7 hours, overwrite the existing file, and sync it with the Power BI dashboard. While the script downloads data, I am encountering issues: sometimes it retrieves incomplete data(less than 30000 entries), sometimes includes unknown characters or fonts, etc. Is there an issue with restriction on fetching such data from Kobo? or pagination?
Could you please advise if there is any solution for this?
