Seeing the old form in start new form page even after deleting the blank forms.
Steps to Reproduce
… Deleting old form from delete and blank form option
… Downloading the updated blank form
… Applying auto update option in the form management setting
After this, when we go to start new form, we see the old form again.
Expected behavior
I should not see the old form in the start new form section once they are deleted and when auto update is enabled.
Actual behavior
I am seeing the old form as explained in the steps to reproduce section above.
Additional details
I have no idea. At the backend, in form design, we don’t have any such forms now. They were old and now we have updated them. Still our users are seeing them in the start new form section.
- What should topics in this category generally contain?
Old form deletion after enabling auto update feature
- Do we need this category? Can we merge with another category, or subcategory?
Yes, you need this category. There is no category created for deleting the old forms.
Welcome to the community, @ssimpact! You could check the Account Settings>Form management>Hide old form versions from under your Collect Android App to hide the old versions of your projects when trying to get blank forms to your app as shown in the image below:
In this video you will see, first I have deleted the old version of forms from the blank form page and then show there is no old form in the start new section but when i enable the auto update function. The app is syncing the old version of forms in the start new form section. Also, I have marked hide old version option.
@ssimpact, did you mean you do not want to see the old projects from the server in your app (for which the data collection has already been completed) even though they have not been deleted from the server? Did I get you correct? If this is the case, then you will need to archive those projects in the server as outlined in this support article Archiving and Unarchiving Projects.
