I get this 500 server error whenever I try to create new user on my Kobo own server.
Hi,
I encounter this error whenever I create user accounts in my own server.

Vince
@jvincent, pinging in @ks_1 @stephenoduor for your support.
Is the account actually created, despite the HTTP 500 error?
If that is the case - you most probably do not have SMTP email properly configured.
Maybe the system could be updated so that it gives a more meaningful error message, without breaking?
Hi Maric,
Thank you for your response. I was able to solve this, basically the smtp user has 2FA enabled. I have “enabled access to less secure apps” on the smtp user account and created a custom app password and updated my smtp settings on the kobo app. Everything works after that.
Thank you as well, @Kal_Lam for your quick response on this.
Regards,
Vince
