Unable to create questions with external csv file

Hi,

I want to create a question whose choices will be from external csv.
I did uploaded my file, but showing this error
Am on url https://kobo.humanitarianresponse.info/
Can someone guide.

This is a known issue @vicks88! And, it has already been recorded in GitHub here:

However, it should not affect your data collection process, and you could carry on with the select_one_from_file question type for your survey project.

Note:

  • You should not edit your survey project through the form builder UI when you have the select_one_from_file question type. If you wish to edit, you should edit the same through an xlsform.
  • When you have the select_one_from_file question type, you may not be able to download your data in the XLS version. In this case, you will have to download the same in XLS (legacy) version.

So can i use external csv as option through Kobointerface directly (without using xls form)

Am on kobo humanitarian

I find xls form a bit tougher

Sorry, I don’t think KoBoToolbox’s form builder UI supports these question types. You will thus need to use the xlsform instead.
