Unable to Pull Responses from Select_One Fields

Hello everyone,

I am encountering a significant issue with the select_one fields in my KoboToolbox form, specifically the CHP (Community Health Provider), Gender, and Nationality fields. (Row 62, 74 and 75)

Issue 1: Select_One Functionality
Description: These fields are intended to allow users to select one option from a predefined list. However, the system is failing to pull and display the selected responses correctly in subsequent notes or calculations.

Impact: Instead of showing the selected value (e.g., the name of the CHP, Gender, or Nationality), these fields remain blank or default to an empty state when referenced later in the form. This inconsistency hinders data collection and could lead to inaccuracies in the dataset.

I would appreciate any insights from the community regarding this issue, especially if anyone has experienced similar problems or has suggestions for troubleshooting select_one fields in KoboToolbox.

Hi @wix_connect,

in the prefilled list, what value you are using? XML or Label? If you are using the label value it is totally normal to see blank question. e.g your XLS form the gender xml values are 1-2-3, in the predefined list you need to write 1-2-3 instead of Female, Male. It is same for all the select one question. I hope this solves your problem
