XLS Format for Uploading Files

Hello all,
Is there a specific format that is required to upload xls files into KoBo? I have been trying to upload a survey I created in microsoft excel but after several attempts I keep receiving errors messages. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the community! Would recommend you to have a look at the xlsform.org to know more about xlsform.

I might suggest trying to upload your file to XLSForm Online to see if it is acceptable, or throws you a useful error indicating what might be wrong.

Thanks for the suggestions! I found some resources from the XLS Form Online. I realized that I was inputting information the names and labels incorrectly in the survey. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong (where spacing is allowed, how to input question types, etc.). I have a solid grasp of the basic functions now,
